Directions to Corry Rubber from Pittsburgh
Approximate travel time 2 1/4 - 2 1/2 hours from the northern suburbs
OPTION 1: Preferable for normal weather conditions
- Travel on I-79 North to Meadville.
- Take the Route 77 exit.
- Drive approximately 35 miles on Rte. 77 to the City of Corry. (Large trucks may be diverted off Route 77 at some point, then returned to Route 77.)
- As you enter Corry, you will drive down a long, steep hill. Just as the road begins to flatten out (after a curve to the right), turn left at the first crossroad. The long building on your left as you approach this intersection is Corry Rubber.
- Visitors: Park right in front of the building just after you make the left turn.
- Truckers: Shipping dock is on your left just before the railroad tracks, after you make the left turn off Route 77. It will not be visible until you get nearly to the railroad tracks. The railroad tracks are only about 50-75 feet off Route 77.
- If you stay on Route 77 and come to a stop sign in the City of Corry, you have driven too far.
OPTION 2: Preferable for snowy conditions
There is an underpass -- approx. 12¡¦ 8¡¨ ¡V on Route 6N. Do not use this route if you are close to or over that height.
- Travel on I-79 North to Edinboro.
- Take the Rt. 6 / Rt. 6N exit.
- Travel on 6N (east) until it intersects with Rt. 6.
- Continue east on Rt. 6 (approximately 20 miles).
- After you enter the City of Corry (a plaza with McDonalds and Perkins is on the right) proceed to the first set of traffic lights (two gas stations and a laundromat on the corner).
- Turn right on Center Street, which is also Route 426.
- Proceed approximately 1 mile until you have crossed several sets of railroad tracks.
- Turn right onto Main Street, also Route 77.
- Drive approximately 1/4 mile to a stop sign.
- Go straight. There will be some large buildings on the right.
- Do not stop at the first building that says 'Corry Rubber' on the side - it is our mixing building only. The office is located in the third building. Turn right between the second and third buildings and park in front of the Corry Rubber sign.
